Our advice is tailored to your needs. We offer a fee-based advisory service. Where we are asked to quote for or place insurance-based pensions, investment or insurance services – and where no other services are provided – we may be remunerated by way of a fully disclosed commission which is paid on financial products.
Enquiries
When clients first talk to us, and when we are explaining the services that we can provide, there is no fee. However, if you ask us to undertake work thereafter, there will be a charge.
Provision of advice
As soon as advice is sought and provided, a fee is incurred. If you proceed and want to avail of our advice and/or arrange financial products through Trident Consulting, then we will explain costs to you.
Financial advice generally requires a meeting because of the complexities involved.
We are required by the regulator to establish the identity and address of clients where we are arranging financial products. This requires us to see original photo ID and original utility bill / bank statement.
Types of advice
You may come to us with a particular financial issue/problem and ask us just to consider just that issue. Or you might prefer an all-round consideration of your finances. You determine whether the focus of our advice should be a single issue or an all-round review.
Fee based advice
Fee based advice is normally charged based on the amount of time taken to deal with your enquiry. However, in the vast majority of cases we can estimate the time commitment of a particular task and the resulting fee.
No fee commission clients
In some cases, with our agreement and client agreement, we are remunerated by way of commission on financial products. In such cases, there may be no fee payable. See Remuneration disclosure CP116
Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances
We have processes to identify and deal with vulnerable customers depending on their needs. We provide training and guidance for all staff to identify and support customers in vulnerable circumstances.

Sustainability Factors – Investment/Insurance Based Investment Products/Pension Advice

When providing advice, the firm does not generally consider the adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability. The firm will review this approach on an annual basis in the period April-June. You are asked to confirm your sustainability preferences per this questionnaire Sustainability-Suitability-Assessment. Complaints
If you wish to make a complaint in relation to any financial service provided by Trident Consulting, you may submit your complaint in writing by post or by electronic means. We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 5 working days, provide you with a point of contact while the complaint is being considered, and keep you updated on progress at intervals of no more than 20 working days. We will seek to investigate and resolve your complaint within 40 working days. If your complaint is not resolved within that timeframe, or if you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you may refer the matter to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman (FSPO). Further advice or work
There are many situations which cannot be resolved within a single consultation. In these circumstances, we will set out our understanding of what you require, what it entails from our perspective and the associated fee. Examples include legal issues, divorce, complicated pension set-up etc. We will quote you a fee (fixed or range) which will depend on the work involved. In some cases, the amount of work required is not known in advance and if this is the case we will advise you how our fee will be determined.
